It's finally here! No, not the Season Finale of "The Sopranos", but
something just as good, the final "Richardson's Rumor's." And just like "The
Sopranos", it is not yet determined if the weekly article will be returning
next year, so you might as well enjoy it now. Without any further ado,
The-Sopranos.com presents:
Richardson's Rumor's
By Matt Richardson
NY, NY 5/19/01
Ok, Ok, Christopher didn't get killed. There could be a million reasons
why he didn't, but give me some credit. I told you basically everything else
that would happen in the episode, and hopefully I'll be more on target for
Sunday's Season Finale. The whole Johnny Sack-Ralphie Cifaretto thing looks
set to get into full swing in the last episode, as well as AJ's arrival in
military school. I, personally, would like to see Jackie Jr. get whacked. All
the kid's done the whole season is break balls. But it should be interesting
to see what they do with his character if they keep him around for another
season or so. All in all, I thought this season was another great one.
Especially in light of how bad the first two episodes were. There were many
great episodes to chose from, but my personal favorite was "University", the
episode in which Ralphie kills his girlfriend. It was truly amazing. The
show's throughout the season kept me laughing all year, but got especially
funny in the "Pine Barrens" episode. Here are your picks as to what you think
will happen in the finale as well as the the funniest line of the season:
-Carmella will develop cancer and Tony will regret every woman he has screwed.
-I think it is Paulie who will get whacked by the Russian mafia. Somehow I
feel Gloria will try to kill herself and Tony will be forced to stay with
her. Jackie Jr. will kill someone for Ralphie which will enable him to get in
with the Sack family.
-Carm will be whacked by an obsessive Gloria, Paulie will have his hands full
with both Tony and the Russians.
-I think Ralphie will order the killing of Jackie Jr. (obviously, Tony didn't
have the heart to order the killing himself), and Ralph will feel like he has
to whack him to retain respect. I think Paulie's going to have to deal with
the Russians, but something will be worked out; maybe he'll have to work with
Valery (the big Russian) or something. Gloria will not disappear from Tony's
life. She's going to follow Patsy or do something to him (the last scene in
the Amour Fou episode where Patsy's on the cell phone and gets in his car and
drives away - Gloria's watching him or following him or something). She
might go ahead and tell Carmella too. Carmella will try to leave Tony or
step up her efforts to do so. Tony and Dr. Melfi will grow closer; she'll
come close to telling him about the rape.
-I think Tony will get wacked in the end. He will be sleeping with the fishes
also. The whole Soprano family will be down there with pussy. I just really
hope Chris doesn't get wacked. Instead I hope Jackie gets wacked . Everybody
should listen to the Boss. Ralphie should of got wacked .And I think the
russians will kill Paulie.
-Jackie is going to tell Tony that it was Ralphie who put the bug in their
head how to become made at a young age. Because Jackie is scared and Tony is
jut looking for some way to knock off Ralphie
-Jackie is spared by Ralphie. Trillo goes away.
-I think that Meadow is going to be caught in crossfire.
-Chris: "He could be out there stalking us right now..."
-Paulie: "With what...his cock!
-"Don't get cunty."
-"Try the ketchup with the relish."
-"I wash my balls with ice water"
-"He killed 16 Czechoslovakians; he's an interior decorator."
There were so many hysterical lines this season, that I couldn't include
even half of them. However, in closing, it is important to remember that
despite all the rumors you have read from me and all of your own predictions,
"The Sopranos" is still a very unpredictable show. It's one of the factors
that keeps us coming back every Sunday night.
Richardsons Rumors
By Matt Richardson
NY, NY 5/11/01
It's always been said that no news is good news but I wonder if that is
the case with "The Sopranos". The rumors have been pretty quiet lately, and
why not? I've basically told you what will happen in the final two episodes,
now it's just a matter of sitting back and waiting to see if it all unfolds
the way I have been told it will. One thing I will say is that no rumor is
guranteed to happen, that, of course, is why they are only rumors. But now I
have decided to put the rumors aside temporarily and leave the season finale
up to you, the fans. E-mail me (my address is at the bottom of the page)
with your predictions as to what you believe will happen in the last episode.
The best (or craziest) predictions will be published in next week's
Richardson's Rumors. Also, in the e-mail let me know which episode you
thought was the best of the season and which line you thought was the
funniest (E.G. "interior decorator"). Tune back in next week to discover the
tallies as well as my season finale article.
Richardsons Rumors

Nothing really big going on as of late. There have been some things that
have strengthened the possibility of Jackie Aprile Jr. whacking Christopher
Moltisanti. Here, basically, is what I'm told will make up the rest of the
season:
Chris gets whacked by Jackie Jr. We've been it over before. However, look
for the return of the crow/raven that Christopher was staring at in the scene
in which he gets made. It was an omen of the bad things to come. Also look
for the return of the 3:00 premonition from the second season.
In Sunday night's episode, Tony will harass Ralphie about steering Jackie
down the the wrong road (the gun Ralphie gave to him, the advice of Ralphie
to drop out of school, etc.). Also keep an eye out for a weird journey for
Paulie and Christopher.
Johnny Sack whose been suspiciously silent for a while, let's Tony know
that the NY family will be taking over the million dollar project that has
been intertwined throughout the season. Who does Sack want to look over the
project? You guessed it, Ralphie! Ralphie then snubs Tony and decides to take
Jackie Jr. along as a member of his new team. With Jackie Jr. now part of the
Sack team, Johnny puts out an order for Jackie not to be touched. This will
leave Tony scratching his head, angry that he can not do anything to avenge
the murder of Christopher, and also angry about Ralphie "turning his back on
the boss", again! And if he does go ahead with whacking Jackie, he could have
a potential war on his hands with the NY family.
Things that will not be resolved by seasons end: the Melfi rape, which
will carry on into season four, as will the affair with Gloria and Uncle
Juniors cancer. One other thing to remember - the FBI still has an inside
man, something which will be touched on, and elaborated in full in the fourth
season.
P.S.-There is also a rumor floating around that Janice's boyfriend is an FBI
agent. Laugh all you want, I'm serious.
Richardson's Rumors
By Matt Richardson
NY, NY 4/28/01
The countdown to the third season finale of "The Sopranos" has begun, and
the main rumor that I have been hearing is bigger than Bobby Baccalla's
belly. Originally, I had dismissed the rumor of Christopher dying in the
second to last episode, as just that- a rumor. But a source who would only
identify himself as "Bing" reports that this rumor is indeed true, and that
the man who kills him is non other than Jackie Aprile Jr. Jackie supposedly
does this to nestle his way into the "family." And then in the season finale,
Tony orders Ralphie to "take care of business" with Jackie. Supposedly, James
Gandolfini actually leaked this rumor himself in a recent interview with ABC
Entertainment. Federico Castellucio (aka Furio Giunta) protected his boss by
saying "Gandolfini is a kidder, you never know with him; he was probably
joking." Right.... Take this one to the bank.
Also look for some Russian mob retaliation in this weeks episode. In the
final three look for AJ to wind up going to military school, Meadow ponder if
Jackie is cheating on her, and lot's of other stuff. Also look for a Pussy
revival of sorts in Sunday's episode.
P.S.-I am not Tony Sirico, who plays Paulie on the show. Some readers have
mistaken me for him.
Richardson's Rumors
By Matt Richardson
NY, NY 4/24/01
With the season finale of "The Sopranos" less than a month away,
rumors about the show are starting to heat up. This past weekends episode was
rather uneventful, but it did set things up for the final four episodes. Some
things that were touched on: AJ's increasingly delinquent behavior, the
relationship between Meadow and Jackie Jr., Tony's affair with Gloria, etc.
The two biggest rumors I have heard (and remember people, these are only
rumors) are:
-Joe Pantoliano (Ralphie Cifaretto) has signed a two year contract. This
could null and void all those other rumors that Ralphie gets whacked this
season. However, David Chase is not even sure if the show will be on another
two years, so why would Pantoliano sign the contract? If the rumor is in fact
true, Ralphie could still be killed, but instead return in flashback scenes
(like Pussy).
-Christopher gets killed in the season finale. And I don't mean he dies in
his sleep, I mean he gets whacked! I find this one hard to believe based on
the fact that he is a major character on the show and that the creators can't
afford to lose so many major characters in a year and a half (Richie Aprile,
Livia, Pussy). But who knows?
My prediction? Jackie kills Ralphie for some odd reason and then tell's Tony
that he did it as a favor to him. Kinda like the Matt Bevilaqua thing with
Richie last year, only this time Tony is in Richie's position. And if I'm
wrong about all these things, whack me.
