As promised, here is a scan of the Rolling Stone Magazine cover signed by the cast. They all signed it personally for me at the 4th Season Premier party.
My full report of The Sopranos 4th Season Premier and After-Party on Thursday, September 5th! First off… How did I get into such an event? I am just another fan that knows enough about the Internet to build a fan site. Apparently, my good friend, he asked that I would refer to him as Dirty Sanchez, lives in the same building with one of the associates of the show. He told her all about me and my fan site, and she promised to get me into the premier. This was about a year ago. Of course I did not really believe it till I got the call a week before the premier and my friend told me that I was in!
A day before the event I got some bad news. I was not going to see the premier because she did not have an extra ticket, but she will be able to get me into the party. I was a little upset but it was ok because the party would be more than I could ask for. The plan was that I would meet her and my friend right after the premier next to the Radio City Music Hall and we would walk over to Rockefeller Center where the after-party would take place. So I am sitting at my friends' house waiting for the call with my suit, shirt, tie and polished shoes resting on the hanger. I had about 2 hours to kill. All of a sudden I get a call from my friend: "YOU GOT 15 MINUTES TO GET

HERE BECAUSE SHE GOT YOU A TICKET!!!" Keep in mind that his apartment is on the west side of downtown Manhattan and the Radio City Music Hall is on 50th and 6th! I quickly got dressed and ran out of the house hoping to grab a cab. Lucky for me I was able to get one and I got to the place with five minutes to spare. That was the fastest I ever got from point A to point B with so much distance in between.
Nervously clutching my last year's issue of "The Rolling Stone" magazine (with the whole cast on the cover) I walked into the premier, got to my seat and started looking around searching out familiar faces. Here is the list of just few that I saw right away: Regis Philbin, Robert Iler (AJ from "The Sopranos"), Harold Perrineau and Chuck Zito from "Oz", some cast actors from "Six Feet Under" and so on. The whole thing started about 15-20 minutes late. There were speeches from the CEO of HBO (Don't remember his name), Brad Gray (the executive producer of "The Sopranos") and David Chase (the creator, writer, director and executive producer of "The Sopranos"). After their speeches they showed first two episodes of the 4th season. As promised, I will not say anything about them.
After the show we all crossed the street to the Rockefeller Center. The security was tight. Everyone had a special bracelet to get into the party. But the food and drinks (the strongest drinks I ever had) were great and FREE! It took a while for all four thousand people to cross the street and get into the party and the place was way to small for the crowd. People were literally on top of one another.
First we sat down to eat and then we started walking through crowds searching out the cast. The cast members were very cool, and even though they were all swamped by huge crowds, they all took time to say hello and shake my hand and even sign my Rolling Stone issue. It is probable that the reason they were so nice is because I was coming up to them with someone who they knew and liked. My personal favorite was Drea De Matteo (Adriana La Cerva). She was absolutely awesome and friendly. I was introduced to her as the host of one of the biggest Sopranos fan sites on the net. She took her table napkin and made me write down the web site address right on it. Unfortunately, some one else pulled her away and I did not have time to talk to her about her tattoos. Especially the AC/DC tattoo on her stomach, since its one of my all time favorite bands as well. I met the whole cast and got everyone of their autographs.
I also got to see cast members from other HBO shows like, "Sex and the City", "Six Feet Under", "The Mind of a Married Man" and "Oz". And the one and only P. Diddy... Very often I would see a familiar actor or actresses that I seen 100 times in some movies or shows but just could not remember their names. The situation felt very surreal at first. I mean I never had a chance to see that many celebrities in one place just hanging out. But I got used to it very quickly and really got to enjoy the party.
I would like to thanks Dirty Sanchez and most of all Ms. PR for getting us in.
